Information Media Multicultural Visual Information Literacy

The Information Literacies Curriculum presents the process and essential skills for embedding information literacy strategies across all areas of the curriculum. Information Literacy Standards referenced in each student lesson are from the American Library Association and Association for Educational Communications and Technology.

This Information Literacy section is based on "Managing Information in a Digital Age," developed by teachers and librarians at Seeds University Elementary School, UCLA. A panel of K-12 teachers and library media teachers reviewed samples of the lessons. Lessons were reviewed on the following criteria:
